Is America Safe With Obama As President?

Our Commander-in-Chief, his State Department and his appointees continue to insist the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya was a “spontaneous” event. Over the weekend this political lie continued when U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, hit the airwaves and claimed that the violence was sparked by “a very hateful video on the Internet,” and that officials have uncovered no evidence the attack was “premeditated or preplanned.”

Does she actually believe Americans are that stupid?

Libyan President Mohammed el-Megarif is on record saying the attack was planned and that the extremists used the demonstration outside the consulate as cover.

“We firmly believe that this was a precalculated, preplanned attack that was carried out specifically to attack the U.S. Consulate,” Megarif told NPR.

In the same interview Megarif also pointed out that his country has been infiltrated with foreigners over the past several months. Further, his new government is wobbly at best. This isn’t an environment where radicals slipping in undetected is probable, it is an environment where radicals slipping in undetected is virtually guaranteed.

Megarif told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that “a few” of the attackers had entered Libya “from different directions, some of them definitely from Mali and Algeria,” and that others involved “are affiliates and maybe sympathizers.”

All one really has to do is ask themselves, “who brings assault rifles and rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) to a religious demonstration?”

The administration wants us to believe that on September 11th, religious demonstrators spontaneously attacked the consulate using assault rifles and RPGs. Apparently they just got over-enthusiastic.

But what do you expect from an administration trying to hide their incompetence before an election.

Absolutely. This wasn’t the first attack on the Benghazi consulate. In fact, there were a series of attacks in the area during the summer that should have initiated some type of security response from a competent administration.

On June 6, an explosive was tossed into the perimeter of the Benghazi compound.

Just five days later, the motorcade of the British ambassador was attacked with a RPG.

A week after that, on June 18, armed gunmen attacked the Tunisian consulate and burned its flag.

And to close out the summer, on August 5, the building for the International Committee of the Red Cross was also struck by RPGs.

That’s a total of four attacks over three months. You don’t have to be an international security expert to figure out that symbols of western influence in the area were being targeted. Yet Obama as Commander-in-Chief said nothing of this during his endless campaign speeches and worse, it seems he did nothing to protect the lives of Americans overseas.

And then there is Sean Smith’s text message, often skipped or glossed over during accounts of the attack. However, the story did briefly reach the public via FOX and CNN.

On the day of the attack, Smith, a foreign service information management officer later killed, sent a text message to an associate “We saw one of our ‘police’ that guard the compound taking pictures,” and when he typed “Assuming we don’t die tonight,” he was clearly communicating a sense of dread.

This implies that at least some individuals within the compound knew before the attack started that this was likely to be more than a demonstration. And because of speed of light communication, it also implies that Hillary Clinton and the State Department knew something was coming to a boil.

Is it possible the consulate wasn’t in touch with the State Department on and off during the day providing updates? It is possible. But let us be honest, it is highly unlikely.

Much more likely is that the Obama administration will continue to parade out officials offering miss-information, distorted details and preposterous rationale in hopes of concealing from the American voter that this was a terror attack — the second successful attack perpetrated against America on September 11th.

But that doesn’t fit the Left’s narrative does it? Obama, as they tell it, has a sterling record against terror. But if you add together this disaster, numerous bombings and the Fort Hood terror attack — white-washed as an act of work-place violence — suddenly that narrative needs to be re-written.
