Another words, Ron Paul has established an exploratory committee in advance of another inevitable run for President. This means a few things. First it means that his son and newly elected and ego enriched Senator from Kentucky, Rand Paul will not be running for President. He has already confirmed that if Daddy runs, he wont. The other things that it confirms is that Ron Paul is a perennial candidate and after about three decades in elected office is truly an entrenched p politicalinsider..something which most Ron Paul supporters hate, except of course in the case of Ron and Rand. Another thing this means is that obnoxious Pauliacs will again be unbearable boobs acting like hoodlums riding on the back of the bus as they hoot and holler and offer catcalls.
But you can also count on them to have a few highly successful money bombs for their candidate which will produce enough money for Ron Paul to be a factor in the race, no matter how obnoxious his fans are.
But Ron Paul wont be the only major libertarian voice in the Republican political arena. Unlike previous years, Ron Paul will find himself competing with the mainstream libertarianism of former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson. Just as Ron Paul established his testing the water slush fund..I mean account, Gary Johnson went all the way and announced his candidacy for President. If Pauliacs are sincere to their cause and just attached to Ron Paul at the hip, unlike they do with other candidates, they should give Gary Johnson a decent hearing. Unlike Ron Paul, Johnson has actually implemented his Libertarian philosophy in to the practical application of government. He did so as a successful two term Governor. Paul has merely been able to propose ideas. Johnson has actually carried them out.
All personal opinions aside, Paul does have many valuable ideas and opinions and he has a rightful place in the Republican debate. He will never become the Republican presidential nominee but we should all appreciate his ability to inject the strength of his beliefs into our Party and our government in a way that does in fact effect change for the better. That despite the largeminorityof hisloud and truly classless and obnoxious supporters.
